Affiliate Disclosure
Transparency and trust are our core values. Here's how we operate.
FTC Disclosure
Odds With Reason (operated by CAP VENTURES, LLC) may earn a commission from purchases or signups made through affiliate links on this website. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR § 255.5: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
How Affiliate Marketing Works
When you click on certain links on our website and sign up for a sportsbook or make a purchase, we may receive a commission from that company. These are called "affiliate links."
Example: If you click our link to DraftKings, sign up for an account, and make your first deposit, DraftKings may pay us a commission. This commission is paid by the sportsbook, not by you. You pay nothing extra.
Common commission structures include:
- CPA (Cost Per Acquisition): We earn a one-time flat fee when you sign up
- RevShare (Revenue Share): We earn a percentage of your net betting activity over time
- Hybrid: A combination of both CPA and RevShare
These commissions allow us to provide free content, including daily picks, sportsbook reviews, and betting guides, at no cost to you.
Our Editorial Independence
Affiliate commissions do NOT influence our editorial content, reviews, or ratings.
Here's our commitment to you:
- Honest Reviews: We review sportsbooks based on real testing, not commission rates. If a sportsbook pays high commissions but has poor payouts or bad customer service, we'll say so.
- Pros AND Cons: Every review includes both strengths and weaknesses. We don't hide negative aspects.
- Data-Driven Ratings: Our ratings use a weighted scoring system across 5 categories: Bonus (25%), Markets (25%), UX (20%), Banking (15%), and Support (15%). These scores are based on objective criteria, not financial incentives.
- We Test Everything: We create accounts, deposit real money, place bets, and withdraw funds on every sportsbook we review. We don't recommend books we haven't personally tested.
- We Don't Take Bribes: Sportsbooks cannot pay us to improve their ratings, remove negative reviews, or receive preferential placement.
Our goal is simple: Help you find the best sportsbook for YOUR needs, whether that's the fastest payouts, best mobile app, or most generous bonuses. We succeed when you're happy with our recommendation.
What We Promote (And Don't Promote)
✓ We DO Promote:
- Licensed and regulated sportsbooks operating legally in the United States
- Sportsbooks with valid state licenses in states where sports betting is legal
- Reputable international sportsbooks (e.g., Bet365) where applicable
- Sportsbooks with proven track records of fair play and timely payouts
✗ We DON'T Promote:
- Offshore or unlicensed sportsbooks
- Sites with unresolved customer complaints or payout issues
- Sportsbooks that target underage bettors
- Sites that engage in predatory or unethical practices
Why this matters: Not all affiliate programs are created equal. Some affiliates will promote any sportsbook that pays high commissions, even if it's sketchy. We only work with reputable operators you can trust.
Our Affiliate Partnerships
We maintain affiliate relationships with major licensed sportsbooks, including:
- DraftKings
- FanDuel
- BetMGM
- Caesars Sportsbook
- Bet365
- And others as we expand
Licensing: We hold the necessary state affiliate licenses where required, including:
- New Jersey Vendor Registration (ID: 0091066)
- Additional state licenses as we expand into new markets
Updates: Affiliate relationships change. We may add or remove partners based on performance, commission changes, or regulatory requirements. This page will be updated to reflect current partnerships.
Bonus & Promotion Information
Welcome bonuses change frequently. We make every effort to keep bonus information accurate and up-to-date, but sportsbooks may change terms without notice.
Always verify: Before signing up, click through to the sportsbook's website and review the current terms and conditions. Bonuses may vary by state, and some promotions may not be available in your location.
No guarantees: We are not responsible if a bonus changes or is discontinued. Sportsbooks reserve the right to modify or cancel promotions at any time.
Terms matter: Pay attention to rollover requirements, minimum odds, and expiration dates. We try to highlight key terms in our reviews, but you should always read the full T&Cs.
Your Responsibility
Do your own research: Our reviews are a starting point, not the final word. We encourage you to:
- Read multiple reviews from different sources
- Check online forums (e.g., Reddit r/sportsbook) for user experiences
- Test sportsbooks yourself with small deposits before committing large amounts
- Compare odds across multiple books to find the best value
Bet responsibly: Sports betting should be entertainment, not a way to make money. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
Know the law: Sports betting is only legal in certain U.S. states. Make sure online sports betting is legal in your state before signing up. You must be 21+ to bet.
Problem gambling: If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org for help.
Other Monetization Methods
In addition to affiliate commissions, we may use these monetization methods:
- Display Advertising: We may display ads from Google AdSense or other ad networks. These ads are clearly labeled and separate from our editorial content.
- Sponsored Content: If we publish sponsored articles or reviews, they will be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership." We have not accepted sponsored content as of this writing.
- Premium Services (Future): We may offer paid premium picks, betting tools, or courses in the future. These will be optional; our core content will remain free.
No hidden monetization: We will never sell your email address, track you for retargeting without consent, or engage in deceptive practices.

We may update this disclosure as our business grows and affiliate relationships change. The "Last Updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.
