We track every team's record against the spread on our NBA trends page. The leaders right now are covering at 58-60% — well above the 52.4% breakeven threshold.

What separates them: they're not just winning games. They're winning by more than expected. That's margin — the gap between what Vegas thinks and what actually happens.

Why ATS Matters More Than Record

A 50-28 team and a 45-33 team can have the same ATS record. Straight-up record tells you who's good. ATS record tells you who's profitable.

The public bets on good teams. Sharps bet on undervalued teams. Sometimes those overlap. Often they don't.

Check the ATS leaderboard — you'll find teams in the top 10 ATS that aren't in the top 10 straight-up. Those are the value plays.

Home vs Away Splits

Some teams crush at home but fade on the road. Others are road warriors.

The Splits tab on our trends page shows this side-by-side. Heading into the playoffs, road ATS record is the number to watch. Every series has 2-3 road games. The teams covering away from home in April tend to cover away from home in May.

Who's Hot Right Now

Season-long ATS is useful. But the last 10 games tell you who's peaking.

Teams covering 7-3 or better in their last 10 are either:

Playing their best basketball heading into the postseason
Facing inflated lines because the market hasn't caught up

Either way, the trend is your friend until the data says otherwise.

The Fade List

Just as important: who's NOT covering.

Teams below 45% ATS over the last 10 games are either:

Resting starters ahead of playoffs (if they've clinched)
Genuinely falling apart

Context matters. But the number doesn't lie.
